Pantheism in Four Parts: Part 1, an Interview with Emily Thomas

In association with the Pantheism and Panentheism Project, led by Andrei Buckareff and Yujin Nagasawa and funded by the John Templeton Foundation, The Panpsycast will be producing four episodes interviewing Pantheism and Panentheism Project researchers.

In our first installment of this mini-series will be interviewing Dr. Emily Thomas , the interview is taking place on the 4th of January in the beautiful city of Durham. In this episode we will be talking to Emily about her contribution to the John Templeton project and her paper May Sinclair on Idealism and Pantheism.

Dr. Thomas researches and writes predominantly on time, space, and their treatment in the history of philosophy. This journey of research has also lead her to look at issues such as the nature of God, Idealism, the possibility of change, and many other topics in metaphysics.

She has published many pieces of popular philosophy. She has two short, accessible videos on time: the animation “Tangling Time with Its History” and “What is Absolute Time? Henry More on Time, God and Mountains”.

She also takes philosophically themed street photography.
